my external dvd player doesn't work after upgrading to OS Catalina
How do I get my external DVD player to work. I upgraded to OS Catalina
iMac 27", macOS 10.15
From what I have read, a lot of people have trouble with the Apple external super drive. Several of the solutions have been to get a different brand of DVD player which is compatible with MacOS. Amazon carries Samsung, LG and other brands and Other World Computing(Mac sales.com) has external optical drives, however they are more expensive. When you see them then you will know why. Myself I have an external optical dive from OWC that has been no problem for years.
