PFM006 SMC error code fan, kernel_task at high CPU

Hi,

I have a iMac (Retina 5K,27-inch, Late 2015)

Recently the fans started spinning , that is full speed. usually it starts right as i turn on the iMac- around half way through the loading bar the fan starts spinning up.

The computer is also very slow once this happens, and even simple tasks.

I've tried to installing any free app from App store but keep loading.

I've tried to Clean install macOS 10.15 Catalina - no difference.

I've done SMC and PRAM resets- no difference.

I've tried running Safe Mode - no difference.

Diagnostics have given me the code PFM006.

That is starting to sound like the temp. sensor in the new screen is not connected, not-compatible or busted.

Was any repair work done on this iMac?

If so, then it sounds like a temp. sensor or something was not done correctly.

If not, then it sounds like it has a hardware issue that needs to be addressed.

Unfortunately, I notice this before changing the screen. Also when remove the screen and connected through thunderbolt.

Do you Microsoft Exchange? If so that is likely that is likely the issue, please contact MS for support on it.

Also, you don't seem to care about your data as there is no evidence of a backup plan for this computer. This is a guarantee that you will lose data. At the very least you should be using a Time Machine backup to safeguard your data.
