Hello. I do not understand why I do not receive missed calls from facetime when I shed cellphone data or flight mode? How do I get notified when someone has called me on facetime when the phone is off or in flight mode?

If you keep the Airplane Mode (Flight Mode) enabled and WiFi - ON with internet, you will still receive FaceTime calls (Audio and Video)
If you keep the Airplane Mode (Flight Mode) enabled and WiFi - OFF then if calls on other devices is enabled, then these devices if connected to internet will receive the FaceTime calls (Audio and Video). You will not get any notification on the device where WiFi is off and Airplane mode is enabled.
Also, if your flight has WiFi and you do not pay for full WiFi access, your FaceTime notifications will not reach you. This is because there is no host storage of any kind in the FaceTime/iMessage service. Calls and messages either succeed or fail, and Apple remembers nothing.
