Certain Keynote transitions are pixelated
On my MBP using Keynote certain transitions (doorway, blinds, etc.) are pixelated during the transition. The OS is 10.15.1. This does not occur on my iMac using the same OS version.

Apple Care solved the pixilating problem by finding that at some point I has installed Clean My Mac. Once I deleted all remnants of that software, Keynote no longer had the problem. So, learn from my experience do not ever install Clean My Mac.

Hello clp698,
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities!
I understand from your post that when using Keynote on your Mac the transitions are pixelated during the transition. I recommend testing the issue while your Mac is in safe mode and/or in a new user account. This will help determine the cause of the issue. The following articles have the steps you will need to test the issue in both safe mode and in a new user account:
Use safe mode to isolate issues with your Mac - Apple Support

Best Regards.
Another potential solution - at least it fixed my pixelated animation issue... uncheck the option to "Apply motion blur to animations" in the Keynote > Preferences > Slideshow > Displaying panel solved the problem!
I restarted in Safe Mode, but then Keynote would not advance from slide to slide. When pressing the space bar to advance the slide, the screen went dark. This was the case with both the MBP and the iMac.
I'm also getting this bug. It happens with Move, Magic Move and Scale and also happens on files that used to work perfectly (pre-Catalina).
For an example of what the bug looks like, see here: https://d.pr/v/1yuOAA

Thanks RadRes!!! This solved the issue! I sent it to Apple twice, only to have the wipe and replace my logic board the first time, then wipe my system the second time. This was such an easy fix, but is definitely a bug they need to fix. =)
clp698,
If testing in safe mode and a new user account did not resolve the issue, you may want to contact Apple Support for additional assistance.
Regards.
That will be my next step. The problem is there doing airplay, but not there using the iCloud app.
Same here. I have been using Keynote for years not having this problem. It seems to have started with Catalina.
An interesting thing, using the same computer, when I use the iCloud version of Keynote, I don't have the problem. That tells me that the problem is within Catalina.
Same issue for me and has not resolved with 10.15.2 update.
So glad to help! I agree - there should be some internal check when upgrading the OS or migrating to a new computer to verify that this setting is not needed/applicable. Happy Keynoting!
