Red square covers screen when I preview images on MacOS Monterrey 12.3
I recently updated my 27" iMac to Monterrey 12.3, when opening images in quick look a giant red square covers my screen for a solid second.
Apple Intelligence is now available on iPhone, iPad, and Mac!

Hey again! Good to know it’s random. Others may know a more specific resolution if they’ve seen this, but I would suggest testing the issue in Safe Mode, and/or in a new user account, this may help to narrow down a cause:
Start up your Mac in safe mode - Apple Support
Set up users, guests, and groups on Mac - Apple Support
Hope something here helps!

The red square covers the entire screen. I am not very tech savvy so I am not sure about the file types causes it. Most of my images are JPEGs and WebP. The red square effect happens at random, maybe 1 out of 10 times I use quickview.
Hey there!
Wow that’s a strange one! Does it cover the entire screen? Likewise does this happen when previewing images in Quick Look for every file type and from any location?
