How to get Disney Plus on Apple TV
Will there be an update with the disney plus app eventually?

Yours was auto installed? When? I’m looking at mine and it’s not there.

You will not get the app on the Apple TV 3rd gen. The work around is by using an IPhone or IPad. On your IPhone or IPad download the Disney plus app and login in. Once logged in select a video to watch and play it on your iPhone or iPad. Once the video starts playing there will be an Apple Air Play button on the video window. Select the Apple Air button and a list of near by devices will pop up, select Apply TV. After you select the Apple TV under Air Play the video will begin to play from the device to the tv. Does that information help or would you like picture on how to perform this?

How? I just opened my Apple TV up and it’s not there. I’m with everyone else here. My Apple TV is in fine working order; I’m not updating if I don’t need to.

Why do you assume it's Apple, why couldn't it be Disney that isn't interested in partnering with a Apple??
Are you positive it is Disney Plus. There are 3 Disney channels native to the 3rd generation.
But apple can add it as they did with Prime which was not on my apple TV when I purchased it.

please let me know if this works, some people are saying that their appletv auto installed it but i am not having much luck trying to get it to work :(
When did it auto-install? I still don’t have it.
