How to get Disney Plus on Apple TV

My app on my phone asked me the same thing, and I said yes, but, I don’t see anything in my AppleTV app. How did you get it to show up inside the AppleTV app?

Does the account I used to sign up for Disney+ have to be the same email address associated with my Apple ID? I wouldn’t think so since my phone knows my Apple ID...

The Disney+ Content isn't obvious like other channels

Its interspersed and almost hidden you have to look

But, Select Movies and /or TV Shows

and the Disney + Content is available down below in the selections

Content that would not be there without Disney +

Note: I am having trouble finding "Mandalorian" but other Disney + Choices are definitely there

Including DC / Marvel / Star Wars / Star Trek

Not sure why it’s not working for me. I have located a Marvel movie I know is available on Disney+ and my only options are to buy or rent the movie from iTunes.

If I go to the TV app on my phone (where I also have Disney+ installed), the TV app sees my recently watched Disney+ items, so, the accounts are connected there.

Agreed. All I get is this error message when trying to airplay to an Apple TV 3. Tried on two different iPhones and two different Apple TV 3s and TVs.

My other apps airplay just fine. It seems pretty dumb since my Chromecast will cast just fine from the app.

I am very disappointed disney plus does not work on Apple TV gen 3. Why do I feel I am yet again being nickel and dimed by Apple? I’m sure they could figure out how to add the app (they have added other apps in updates), but suspect they might be choosing not to in order to get people to upgrade their Apple TV. Maybe I’m wrong, but Apple seems to do this type of thing time and again be it with cords, headphones, etc. ... anything to make a buck! Too bad such good products come with what I feel is a lack of customer focus/goodwill. My disappointment just builds and builds with Apple.

but guess what.... if you have Roku device that was released around the same time as the 3rdGen Apple TV...that Roku is no longer supported either! (the 1st run of the Roku 2 from late 2011 and any of them older than that). And why? because that processor and software that runs on that processor are outdated and cant handle the new way that companies are preparing their streaming services....just like Apple.

why apple Tv 3 generation is imposible watch disney + ... we are consumer this all product for my life, but when buy apple tv you guys tell me in the website and other social medias ..that it a future Tv in few years that is crap.. and so disappointed with apple we was buy (4) apple tv for my home and today need put in the trash ... that is horrible for you guys is simple one upgrade in our apple tv 3 generation, fixing any problem ... Very annoying that Apple won’t support the original Apple TV with new apps like Disney+, I’m done, I’m NOT going to buy a new generation Apple TV, anyone have good suggestions for android or Roku as an alternative?

Originally we were told that it would be supported in the Apple TV app like Stars, HBO, and so on. So this should also include 3rd generation Apple TV’s.

Well now you know at least, perhaps you should consider a new Apple TV? If you have a 4K TV and want to watch some 4K content then I'd strongly recommend getting the Apple TV 4K.

I have an Apple TV 4K on the only 4K tv I own. I just don’t want to spend the money on three of them for 1080 TVs if the 3rd gen works.
