'Speakerphone' option has been replaced with 'Audio' icon when making or receiving a call?

I make and receive nearly all of my calls using speakerphone. Tapping the 'speaker' icon had always worked well for me on my iPhone 8. I recently upgraded to iPhone 11, and am finding that when I am on my home Wi-Fi, my 'Speaker' icon is replaced with an 'Audio' icon. The 'Audio' icon requires me to go to an extra step of selecting 'Speaker' or 'AppleTV'.

This is a really annoying step everytime I make or receive a call. There is NEVER a time where I would use AppleTV for phone calls (would anyone)? Is there anyway to eliminate this option? The only solution I have found is to just turn my Wi-Fi off, which is obviously not practical.

The most IOS recent update requires an additional step while making or recieving calls rather than merely taping the audio icon on the screen. It's annoying and frustrating. More seriously the same update creates a problem accessing bluetooth activity while in an automobile. It requires a second step which is dangerous to perform if one must visually encounter the screen to do so. This issue is most obnoxious and inappropriate.
