Podcast Bookkeeper Sync Constant Sign In

The only thing that has worked, and I have tried everything in this thread, to include changing password, changing password from iPhone or alternative iOS device, is to disable "sync subscriptions across devices" in the Advanced tab in the podcast app's settings.

Not sure if you ever got to the bottom of this.

I was having the exact same issue and it was driving me insane. I resolved this by going on my AppleID on my iPhone and a message came up to say my account had been locked for security reasons. As soon as I entered my password on my iPhone, I only required to enter the Podcast password once & it went away.

I encountered a similar issue, at first I was letting Preferences to auto-fill my email and would receive "unknown error occurred" when I only entered my password. Killing the settings app, as you said, would work for a couple of days. However, I went back and manually entered my email again, and after putting my password in it seemed to work, i.e. I didn't have to kill the setting app in order to make the warning go away. You've probably already tried that, but just thought I'd share.

I removed my Mac from my listed devices in my Apple ID profile from my phone. I downloaded MalwareBytes for Mac on my computer and restarted my computer. Ran the MalwareBytes scan. Then I signed back into my Apple profile in my Mac. So far so good. The pop ups have disappeared!! How annoying!!

As soon as I reinstated my 50GB iCloud plan the problem disappeared. Funny that?

I never had my 'sync subscriptions' checked. :-(

Here's a screenshot of the dialog I'm getting. This is inside the "System Preferences" app. I have no idea what "Podcasts Bookkeeper Sync" means. When I enter my Apple ID and password, it says, "An unknown error occurred" and does not accept the username and password. When I copy and paste the same username and password into the iCloud website, it logs in just fine, so I am certain it is the correct login info.

I am having the exact same problem on my brand new Macbook Air. It is driving me crazy. Please post if anyone figures it out.

Is the sign in to Apple to sync podcasts legit? Made me think it was malware or something like that...

I agree! It's only happened since opening the 'Unlocking Us" Podcast with Brene Brown. Coincidence?

For me this is on my laptop. It pops up about 8 times in a row. Very annoying.

Funny, that's the podcast (Unlocking Us) my family member activated, too, though I think it just happened to be the first one. Funny coincidence, though! I didn't solve my problem, basically force quit System Preferences to get all that out of the way.
