Why won't new purchased OTF fonts install in Catalina?

I am running Mac Catalina (10.5.1) on my late-2013 2.9 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5 iMac. I recently purchased a suite of .otf fonts from MyFont. No matter how I try, I cannot install them. I am an administrator so it doesn't appear to be a permissions issue. I get as far as validating and installing the fonts (it looks like I have been successful) but they haven't installed and don't appear in any search in Font Book. Any thoughts?

I had a breakthrough. My partner suggested right-clicking on a existing font in Font Book to find out where this font was located. When I did that, it pointed me to my HD Folder/Library/Fonts. I tried dragging and dropping another font into this Font location and the font loaded successfully. I then dragged and dropped all 6 of the new purchased fonts into this location, restarted my computer, and all the fonts appeared to have installed successfully. They installed successfully in Photoshop, but only some appear in MS Word.
