I have some blank app icons in my apps bar in Messages.
I've rebooted iPhone.
Quit Messages app.
Toggled the apps on/off.
Any way of getting them back?
It is just the icons - the apps themselves work normally.

Once you’ve deleted those apps, please use the steps in the section titled “Download iMessage apps” in the previously provided link.

I just installed the iOS 13.2.3 update and it appears to have solved the blank icons problem!
I have uninstalled and reinstalled apps which seems to have worked but Google Maps icon has now disappeared.
I'm not prepared to keep uninstalled & reinstalling apps. It's pathetic. iOS 13 is the worst iOS I've used.
Still having trouble with Mail app as well.
Any other solution other than uninstalling/reinstalling the apps? Some of them take a while to set back up and who knows how’s many times this bug will happen? I don’t want to be uninstalling/reinstalling all the time.

Please go to the App Store. Does it show that Google Maps is installed on your iPhone?
You mentioned having trouble with the Mail app. Can you tell me what you’re experiencing with the Mail app?
