Updating Apps

i used to share an Apple ID with my family but I recently made my own and it won’t let me update any apps unless I put in the old password but I’m no longer signed in with that Apple ID

The other Apple ID is stored inside those applications. They need to be updated from it or deleted and redownloaded.

Acquired apps are forever tied to the Apple ID that was used to get them. Acquire them again with the new Apple ID.

Hello,

Any downloaded apps are forever tied to the Apple ID used to download them.

The best solution, in your case, is to delete the apps and download new versions using your current Apple ID.
