next song wakes display on iphone

When I am listening apple music with iphone on the table in front of me, the display lights up on every new song... Very disturbing. Turning off notifications for Music does not help. Neither battery saving option. Any idea how to get rid of this behavior? Just don't tell me it is not a bug but a feature...

Hello. Little bit old topic, but did not find solution that work to me there. iPhone bought in Europe and there is a "EU Volume Limit" in the Music Setting tab. When enabled never have this wake up problem. When disabled and beyond the volume limit iPhone wakes up on next song. In any case below this volume limit everything is OK. Not a huge issue but I completely do not understand why.

I had notifications already turned off.

Suddenly it is not doing it anymore. Also when I control play/pause and volume through headphones, the display is not getting on anymore. No idea why it is good now, even after restart it is OK now. Very interesting... :/

Thanks guys for suggestions, hopefully it will not be doing it anymore.

This is also happening to me. It is specific only to Apple Music and Apple Podcasts. I have tried every suggestion on this forum and have found nothing fixes it. For me it is with headphones or audio in. I keep installing the latest updates to fix it and it hasn't helped. It does not happen with any other app. It happens with every song change, and randomly during a podcast, I watched it and it happened every 20 seconds at one stage.

Let me be explicity clear: this feature is dangerous.

I use my phone to play music in my car, I put my phone on Do Not Disturb when I drive and it happens while my Do Not Disturb function is on. This means it catches the corner of my eye while I'm driving. I can turn my phone around, but I keep it in a hand-free holder in case anyone rings me in an emergency - I can see it to pull over and answer. Instead, my phone lights up every 3 minutes or more, again while Do Not Disturb is on. I cannot see how this is remotely safe or why this is required.

It doesn't seem like a big since it seems to be programmed to occur with every song change, but how it happens in the Podcast app is definitely a bug.

I've tried this too, when I'm on headphones I always have it at half-volume. When I'm in the car it's on full but that's because I lose volume going from the phone to the car speakers. It happens either way. It's so distracting in the car. I've had to start leaving my phone in the cup-holder but sometimes it still catches my eye. And it defeats the purpose of both Do Not Disturb and handsfree phone holders. For me the Do Not Disturb function working properly is important - I have it set that only if my family ring it will show up, we tend to get a lot of emergencies.

Mines an iPhone SE. My partner has suggested I use his old iPhone, but I don't like the bigger size phones. I don't want to have to change phone just because of this, but I certainly wouldn't be upgrading to another iPhone if that's my only option. Hopefully it's better for you on your 7 now.

It is interesting that it's happening only on Aux and not on Bluetooth, that still suggests to me that it's a function they put in. Best guess otherwise would be a poor connection, but why does it specifically happen with each song change. An intermittent fault wouldn't behave that way surely.
