When I am listening apple music with iphone on the table in front of me, the display lights up on every new song... Very disturbing. Turning off notifications for Music does not help. Neither battery saving option. Any idea how to get rid of this behavior? Just don't tell me it is not a bug but a feature...
Hello. Little bit old topic, but did not find solution that work to me there. iPhone bought in Europe and there is a "EU Volume Limit" in the Music Setting tab. When enabled never have this wake up problem. When disabled and beyond the volume limit iPhone wakes up on next song. In any case below this volume limit everything is OK. Not a huge issue but I completely do not understand why.
The only solution I found was to turn the volume down. It seems to want you to reduce the volume. Are you using an iPhone 6?
Yes you are right. Only way to stop it is to turn the volume down. Strange way of warning people though.
I'm having the same issue, if this is a feature of the new Iphone its absolutely ridiculous and needs to be removed immediately!

I have switched off Music notifications, and raise to wake. My screen lights up every few seconds when the phone is locked, not being moved, and playing music via the headphone socket (SE - 1st gen). Any advise?
Yesss. I have same problem. And if you are using bluetooth headset you get notification from song to song🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️ I think it is about display not apple music application. And İ can't mute that sound🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
Hello, I’m having the same problem and it’s super annoying. I did all of that, close music app, sign out of iCloud, restart and I’m still experiencing the same issue. Anytime I’m working out and listening to music with the phone in my pocket and the next song plays, the screen will wake and random stuff gets pressed on the screen. I did every possible thing to try and fix it but in vein.
I noticed the problem is with the yellow thingy in the volume level, anytime the volume is above the yellow stuff, that’s when my screen will wake on next song. If the volume level is below it the problem doesn’t happen. Is there a way to disable that??? My other iPhone doesn’t have that. Please help. I’M LOOSING IT.
Hello. This is to do with volume limit regulations. If the limit is below the “yellow or red” threshold, the screen won’t wake, if the limit is above these yellow or red levels, the screen will wake. This is obviously to do with a safety feature to protect the ears. Perhaps the feature disables after the user has acknowledged the volume limit warning.
I did all steps you suggested, no change. It does it with both WiFi and LTE, however it does it only with headphones. If it plays music through speakers, display is always off.
It is not a feature of the new iPhone, I experience the same thing on my 6S. That doesn’t make the feature any less annoying though. Let me know if you work it out.
