Blue Dot in Share Sheet Actions

Just noticed this blank line with a blue dot beside it under the “edit actions...” section of the share sheet. See screenshot.

i clicked on it just to see what it did and a blank notification popup appeared with no message other than an “OK” button.

Really strange - wondering if this is an iOS glitch or if it’s something malicious...

I’m using iOS 13.2.2 on an 11” iPad Pro.

Anyone have an idea?

Hello,

I have never seen this before. My best guess is that you have an application installed on your iPad who’s developer was playing around with adding a share sheet extension to their application and labeled their action as that blue dot. It will be difficult to narrow down which application is producing this. Try adding this action and then try sharing something with it. It should open whichever application it is associated with.

It also could be a Shortcut you made in the Shortcuts application.

Thank you for the screenshot. I have never seen anything that looked like this before. I guess your next step will be to try narrowing down which application this is originating from. My suggested plan of action is to make a list of all installed applications then cross out any application(s) you suspect are not generating this menu. Once you have the narrowed down list try uninstalling each application one at a time and check to see if the action in this menu was removed. Other than that I cannot think of any other way to figure out which application this belongs to.
