Playlist folders becoming Smart Playlist Folders

After moving from iTunes to the Catalina Music app, Playlist Folders containing about 300 normal "dumb" playlists all of a sudden became Smart Playlist Folders. My original (dumb) playlists are still there, but I can't access them because they are in a Smart Playlist Folder. I even created new (normal / dumb) playlist folders and moved my old playlists into them, but that still didn't work. After quitting and reopening the Music app, those normal playlist folders became smart playlist folders again. Any ideas?
