Airpods Pro keep falling out of my ears!

I just got Airpods Pro and they will not stay in my ears for more than a minute or so. I feel them start creeping and I know I have only a second or two before they seem to jump out of my ear as if they were being repelled or something. I have tried every size tip and they all do the same thing. I never had any problems with my old Airpods so this is strange to me. If I don't find a fix I'm going to have to return them as they are basically unusable. Anyone else have this problem? Any suggestions?

I was having the same problem and started searching for solutions because I’m outside of my window to return my AirPods Pro. I found a suggestion to wear them upside down, at about the 2:00 position. I tried it and it immediately worked. I did a seal test and it had a seal. Didn’t fall out. I made a call on the phone and on FaceTime and was heard perfectly. It does look silly, but they didn’t fall out. Here’s a photo for reference.

So I have been holding off on sending my review of the AZLA SednaEarfit XELASTEC so that I could try them out for a few months...

At first use- THEY ARE A GAME CHANGER.. the best word to describe them is having a “Tacky” stick to them which makes them NEVER FALL OUT!!!

That said- they definitely wear down over time & each pair only stays strong for about a month... which in reality (@ $33 for 3 pair is an additional $130/year!!?!?).

The sound is still awesome although if you compare with the silicone tips I would rate them as follows:

Initial In ear HOLD 10/10

Transparency Mode an 8/10.

Comfort 9/10

Durability 6.5/10

Sound Cancellation 8.5/10

All in all- I was super stoked to try these and share my experience with the community but wanted to give them the test of time before recommending such an expensive solution..

I added this pic to show I still have yet to use one pair and the other two are worn down.

(Second pic is what they first looked like when I opened the box and installed them!)

In a pinch.. to ensure they stay in you can rotate them upwards so the rod tip is up top tucked behind the cartilage of your ear..

Another fantastic yet only lasts for 4

months with medium usage is the: AZLA SednaEarfit XELASTEC for Airpods Pro / 3 Pairs (Size MS/M/ML 3Pr) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08DS5XWRM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_QGMX3MVBV8PA9V5F3QBN?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

These work AWESOME until they get hot, deform and then don’t work anymore..

I have just bought the latest Airpods Pro Gen 2 and also find that the tips, no matter what size I use tend to fall out of the ears. I can't believe that Apple designers haven't looked at how the hearing aid designers overcome this problem by designing the tips to go deeper into the air canal. If they don't sit correctly, then anything you are playing/watching will go into a pause situation which is frustrating to say the least. It's not only a question of width but depth as well! The tips just need to be longer! Come on Apple, fixit it!

Same problem for me and I found this thread.

Tried all tips for many days on end. All fall out. I do tons of video conferencing for work on my MacBook and people on the call have even noted to me they see me pushing them back in a lot while on the calls.

I wonder if the tips are also just not gripy enough. It’s a shame because they sound amazing on all my Apple devices, I even like using them with my Apple TV, but I refuse to order more for family because this is an expensive oversight.

Bought the pros because they talked about how they had improved technology to assist (the fit test) only to find out that every size did fit...only to fall out as soon as I moved. I can’t even get my money back because I bought them from my phone service provider. Called Apple and there’s no solution. I spent way too much money for them not to have a solution.

I have the same problem. The weird thing is, it didn’t start until several weeks after using them and it’s only the right ear. I have tried all the different size options. Any ideas? Hope there is a fix. I gave away both my old AirPods and my Bose QC headphones since I thought these were the perfect replacement for both.

No, I did not have the same problem with the AirPod 2's. They didn't fit tightly, but they did not fall out like the AirPods 3's. The AirPods 2's weren't exactly comfortable but they at least stayed in my ears for the most part. I can't keep the AirPods Pro's in my ears at all. I am constantly pushing them in. I've resorted to buying a neck strap for them so I don't lose them when they fall out. It's ridiculous and I can't find a single solution to make them worthy of using.

Was ecstatic about getting Pros for Christmas. I have been using Jabra Active 65t's for the past year. One ear pod took a dive back in July and it took Jabra three and a half months to return it for repair. Everything about the Pros is better except... I am continuously fidgeting with them to keep them in place. They've dropped out and I've had to catch them at least once a day. I know I have a small ear canal and had an amazing fit with the Jabras small ear tips. I could do anything I wanted and they wouldn't budge. One other issue is the notification volume. I've missed several calls and messages because I just didn't hear the notification. I tried the fix to allow anger volume change with button in settings. I had a friend call me twice and while ringing I pressed the up key with no change in volume. My fingers are crossed 🤞 that I don't loose a pod in the toilet or worse down a drain line.

However... doing a quick search on Amazon, I discovered that the same company that makes the sleeves for my first generation EarPods, also now makes them for the new EarPods Pro. So for an additional $11, you can get two pair of silicone sleeves with ear hook that should hopefully keep them in your ears. The company I used is EarBuddyz, but there are several others. Hope this helps. If it does, please post your results. (I'd like to stick with Apple products if I can) -DJG
