Airpods Pro keep falling out of my ears!

I just got Airpods Pro and they will not stay in my ears for more than a minute or so. I feel them start creeping and I know I have only a second or two before they seem to jump out of my ear as if they were being repelled or something. I have tried every size tip and they all do the same thing. I never had any problems with my old Airpods so this is strange to me. If I don't find a fix I'm going to have to return them as they are basically unusable. Anyone else have this problem? Any suggestions?

This is an excellent idea. Here’s what I just posted:

”250 dollars. That’s what I payed for these. You’re telling me that 250 dollars doesn’t get me earbuds that stay in my ears? That’s outrageous. If I move my mouth at all they get pushed out of my ears. Even if I don’t they make their way out anyway. This is what sets Apple apart from other brands. This doesn’t happen with Apple products. How did this slip through the testing?

My suggestion is that you redesign the tips with a different shape or as foam so they stay in your ears. Then offer that for free to everyone who bought airpods pro, and have it included with the standard version.

People expect a level of quality assurance from Apple and this is ruining that. Before this I could buy any Apple product and be sure it would work as expected. Not anymore.

No, I did not have the same problem with the AirPod 2's. They didn't fit tightly, but they did not fall out like the AirPods 3's. The AirPods 2's weren't exactly comfortable but they at least stayed in my ears for the most part. I can't keep the AirPods Pro's in my ears at all. I am constantly pushing them in. I've resorted to buying a neck strap for them so I don't lose them when they fall out. It's ridiculous and I can't find a single solution to make them worthy of using.

Was ecstatic about getting Pros for Christmas. I have been using Jabra Active 65t's for the past year. One ear pod took a dive back in July and it took Jabra three and a half months to return it for repair. Everything about the Pros is better except... I am continuously fidgeting with them to keep them in place. They've dropped out and I've had to catch them at least once a day. I know I have a small ear canal and had an amazing fit with the Jabras small ear tips. I could do anything I wanted and they wouldn't budge. One other issue is the notification volume. I've missed several calls and messages because I just didn't hear the notification. I tried the fix to allow anger volume change with button in settings. I had a friend call me twice and while ringing I pressed the up key with no change in volume. My fingers are crossed 🤞 that I don't loose a pod in the toilet or worse down a drain line.

However... doing a quick search on Amazon, I discovered that the same company that makes the sleeves for my first generation EarPods, also now makes them for the new EarPods Pro. So for an additional $11, you can get two pair of silicone sleeves with ear hook that should hopefully keep them in your ears. The company I used is EarBuddyz, but there are several others. Hope this helps. If it does, please post your results. (I'd like to stick with Apple products if I can) -DJG

I have to agree with you! These things have great sound however I literally only use them now while I’m sitting still or laying down. I dropped one by accident moving around the busy Atlanta airport. Now I’m too afraid to even wear them while I go for a run. That’s where the Bose sounds port free did outdo these guys. I hope a new tip is made for these.

Totally agree. My original Airpods never come out even during a hard run. These fall out in 5 to 15 minutes depending on what I'm doing (even just sitting there). I'm constantly shoving them back in. I have tried all sizes of earpiece and it makes no difference. Fit test always works (in the short term). Too bad because they are amazing otherwise.

I'm really hoping that Apple (or someone) comes out with some stickier tips (that don't force me to remove them every time I want to put them back in the case). I'm not returning mine but I would recommend others hold off until this issue is addressed.

I am having the same exact problem. I tried every tip and none of them work. They either pop right out or slowly creep out. I never had an issue with the old ones. It is basically unusable, especially if your doing any activity that requires movement. I wish they came out with a hook similar to the Bose. I am past the return date so i am basically stuck with them and i gave away my old pair. Hopefully Apple or a third party comes out with a fix. Really disappointed, especially at this price point.

Same problem here! I use them primarily for going to the gym. They fall out constantly and it really ruins a workout. When I go running they also continuously creep out and it’s beyond annoying. Soooooooo not worth the money. If you’re using them and don’t move around....at all...the sound is awesome and the noise cancelling is great.

Update: I've tried numerous 'tricks' I've read on other blogs to keep these darn gems in my ear to no avail. I finally broke down and ordered some foam ear tips from eBay (read it on another blog) for $32. I have to put them in and pull the top of my ear to get them to fit securely. They still come loose after some time but they tend to stay in a bit better. It's not the fix we're all hoping for with these expensive AirPods pros but it may be a bandaid for others. I have ordered a neck strap, as well, that I will be wearing with them when I travel so I don't lose one. After the airplane seat incident I'm not risking losing one again. I've also held off on ordering any others for my family until this is resolved. We're an Apple family and my four person family owns three Mac's, three iPads, three sets of AirPods, four iPhones, etc. but this is one product I can't support.

Don't waste your time with the Earbuddyz either. Having seen a suggestion that they can help anchor the new airpods, I bought them but found they only work on the original airpods which don't have the fallout problem. Like many here, I've reverted to another brand of noise cancelling headphones (Bose) which I can wear while I'm walking or moving. I can only use the airpods when I'm sitting still. A real shame.

Interesting... here are the Earbuddyz that fit the new AirPods Pro. Perhaps you bought the first generation ones instead of the new ones. Perhaps you ordered the correct ones, and were sent the wrong ones. These look different and cost a dollar or two more. https://www.amazon.com/EarBuddyz-Compatible-Featuring-Enhancement-Technology/dp/B07M7LRTSD/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=earbudz+airpods+pro&qid=1578524006&sr=8-4

Did the ear 'hook' that fits into the channel above the external auditory meatus, fail to provide adequate tension? I noticed that they changed it a bit. It would be helpful to know.
