Airpods Pro keep falling out of my ears!

I just got Airpods Pro and they will not stay in my ears for more than a minute or so. I feel them start creeping and I know I have only a second or two before they seem to jump out of my ear as if they were being repelled or something. I have tried every size tip and they all do the same thing. I never had any problems with my old Airpods so this is strange to me. If I don't find a fix I'm going to have to return them as they are basically unusable. Anyone else have this problem? Any suggestions?

This is an excellent idea. Here’s what I just posted:

”250 dollars. That’s what I payed for these. You’re telling me that 250 dollars doesn’t get me earbuds that stay in my ears? That’s outrageous. If I move my mouth at all they get pushed out of my ears. Even if I don’t they make their way out anyway. This is what sets Apple apart from other brands. This doesn’t happen with Apple products. How did this slip through the testing?

My suggestion is that you redesign the tips with a different shape or as foam so they stay in your ears. Then offer that for free to everyone who bought airpods pro, and have it included with the standard version.

People expect a level of quality assurance from Apple and this is ruining that. Before this I could buy any Apple product and be sure it would work as expected. Not anymore.

Interesting. I'm in the US. Perhaps with all of the complaints, someone will offer a sleeve that does work, soon. I hope so. I'm not buying the new ones right away. As long as my original AirPods hold a decent charge, I'll keep them. They work fine. (and they have been through the washer and dryer once. I have to stay loyal to they for that.🙂)

It's only one ear for me the other stays in like a rock. It's also like the more I use them the looser that one bud becomes. I haven't read good things about 3rd party tips. But I did actually get a tip from an Apple store employee. Referred me to an article.

i did not try

The problem with these is that you can't close the case with the tips on. You have to take them off and on each time you want to use them. I have all three versions of Airpods and only the pro have the issue of falling out. I bought these tips for the first pair of airpods, but only used them a few times as I found out I didn't need them. Now I just use the AirPod Pro's for flights or when I'm laying down on couch or bed.

Good news for some, I am seeing a lot of new silicon covers, memory foam tips and other types of "ear hooks" being released for the AirPods pro's. Im sure some of these options will help many of us.

Im going to try the silicon covers (Still fit in charging case), Im hoping the added grip of the cover may be all thats needed. Similar covers for the original AirPods and wired ear buds, seemed to help those people with the same falling out issues.

Yup yup! I was just reading this MacRumors topic "Airpods Pro memory foam ear tips."

People doing some hacks but I get the feeling those are people who couldn't get a seal. I can get a seal with my Large tips, but they slide out in the normal downward position. Hoping that foam inside will resolve.

Here's more info on the upside-down APP situation:

I would just suggest trying them in different positions other than down--which seems to be the worst position for those of us who keep having them pop out of our heads!

I've tried several "up" positions (2 o'clock, 3 o'clock, and just about anything but down works better). Hoping for some aftermarket tips, or modding my own...

I tried to return after 3 days but because they have been worn there is a hygiene issue and they cannot accept return unless faulty. I have tried every ear tip but they still fall out of my ears when at the gym. My Gen 2 Airpods never fallout unless i knock them out of my ears. Running and pumping weights, the Pro want to creep out and then fallout. I'm so guttered as I really like these as they sound amazing and the features are great.

Will keep my Gen 2 and sell the Airpods Pro.

Does anyone have a fix on this

But they don't appear compatible with the Airpods Pro.

Do you own a pair of those?

Their variable size ear fittings clip on to a fitting on the Airpod Pro - it is built in to the soft ear tip.

I dont think these would work - and after trusting Macfix with a very specific request for AIRPODS PRO & receiving a fitting for original airpods, I 'm not inclined to the benefit of the doubt.....

I have the same issue with the Airpods Pro earbuds fall out. I need a XS earbud tips (I tried the small, medium, and large). Apple should have looked at the earbud tips from Oticon, Phonak, Recon, and other manufacturers. Also, the earbud tips are slippery little devils!

I can only hope Apple comes up with something soon to solve this issue or I'm returning them.

There are third party memory foam tips specially for Airpods Pro. For those who have problems with the silicon tips.

there are from china so delivery will take some time.

Here is a review video of guy who ordered them.

I had the same problem as well. I wanted to keep them because they were a Christmas gift. I tried every ear tip provided. I made sure to clean the tips and my ears before use. No matter what, I was constantly having to push them back into place. If you are going to put the word "Pro" on a product, there should be no issue in using that product. It should be perfect and without flaws. I will say that the sound quality and noise cancelling feature was amazing. But what good is that if they don't stay put in your ears? It forced me to do something I said I would never do. I bought a pair of Beats headphones. I need a pair of headphones that will keep up with my busy pace. I need headphones for chilling and working out. I prefer if one pair of headphones can do both those things. I ent with the PowerBeats Pro. Great headphones minus not having the noise cancelling feature.

Same here. I have tried all tips multiple times. Cleaned them all with alcohol... so frustrating. I use them in the gym and they always fall out while exercising. Never had an issue with the previous air pods. Love the sound, love the noise canceling, but these are worthless if you are exercising for any length of time. If I’m spin cycling or sitting still no issue but weight lifting is a no go for these not so pro falling through the air pods. Gave my old set away and now looking at other options.

Airpods Pro keep falling out of my ears!
