Airpods Pro keep falling out of my ears!

I just got Airpods Pro and they will not stay in my ears for more than a minute or so. I feel them start creeping and I know I have only a second or two before they seem to jump out of my ear as if they were being repelled or something. I have tried every size tip and they all do the same thing. I never had any problems with my old Airpods so this is strange to me. If I don't find a fix I'm going to have to return them as they are basically unusable. Anyone else have this problem? Any suggestions?

This is an excellent idea. Here’s what I just posted:

”250 dollars. That’s what I payed for these. You’re telling me that 250 dollars doesn’t get me earbuds that stay in my ears? That’s outrageous. If I move my mouth at all they get pushed out of my ears. Even if I don’t they make their way out anyway. This is what sets Apple apart from other brands. This doesn’t happen with Apple products. How did this slip through the testing?

My suggestion is that you redesign the tips with a different shape or as foam so they stay in your ears. Then offer that for free to everyone who bought airpods pro, and have it included with the standard version.

People expect a level of quality assurance from Apple and this is ruining that. Before this I could buy any Apple product and be sure it would work as expected. Not anymore.

FIX THIS”

I know the new tips were a downside but it's not completely Apples fault. For most people the silicon ear tips fit well, but for some they fall out. A fix for this is purchasing foam ear tips from a third party company and using those instead of the silicon apple ones. Unless Apple makes their own foam tips but for now buying third party ones meant for the Airpods Pro will do the job.

I have been using Apple Ear buds since the first iPhone, and had the previous AirPods 2, NEVER had an issue with them falling out, until these new AirPods Pro.

My feelings and experience exactly. On a call and one or both of the AirPods start feeling loose and eventually fall out. Running, forget it, might get 10 minutes if im lucky and they will fall out. Apple needs to offer a wider selection of tips, which may help.

For those who want to complain, try to get Apple to release additional tips for the AirPod Pro, follow this instruction from Apple Support:

“I’m reviewing the AirPods page on Apple.com and only seeing the silicone tips available at this time. I’d highly recommend leaving feedback on apple.com/feedback too, so these suggestions can reach the correct department.”

It is Apples fault, me and the so far 673 others would agree that the notion of spending another penny on a product that should have already been heavily tested to perfection is ridiculous. £250 is a lot to most people if you weren’t already aware, and should more than guarantee absolute flawless performance to ALL customers. Saying that it isn’t Apples fault is like saying they NEVER make mistakes, this needs to be addressed and fixed.

I have tried all of the sized covers and mine fall out no matter what. I won’t use them traveling or in a busy place because my fear of losing them. Only in the car and at the office which sort of defeats the point. I hope Apple fixes problem soon. Staying in your ears is a basic function. It doesn’t matter how good all the other features are if they don’t stay in your ears.

I have a problem with my Airpods Pro staying in my ears. I have tried all the different ear tip sizes and even tested them while on to indicate that they fit, but they are not. They keep sliding out. I am a runner who like listening to music on the road and bought these with an excitement after the 1st version couldn't work anymore (but those fitted perfectly). But with Pro, they can't stay even when I am sitting while using them. Please assist. otherwise I feel ripped off.

I'm having the same issue! My airpods never came out of my ears, but these pro's work their way out very quickly. I have the small size bud in which is the only one that works at all. I know I have small ear canals so buds like these are always an issue, but I had hope that this would work because my AirPods were such a great fit! I hope they find a solution before my 14 day window is out. I don't want to return them because when they are in they work GREAT! And then... they fall out.

Hi there

you wont be able to return them to the shop and get a refund unless they are faulty. I tried to take mine back but they wouldn’t accept because of a hygiene issue which they cannot resell. I manage to sell mine and got my money back but lost out on $65 for extended warranty as they would not cancel it. I was guttered too cause i really like the pros. I think they need to make the stems longer which will make them not fall out of your ears

My Gen 2 airpods had no problem staying in my ears while at the gym. I was excited when the pros came out as they sounded amazing. I tried all tips as they kept falling out of my ears. I tried to take them back but they would not accept unless it was faulty because of hygiene issue as they were unable to resell them. I managed to on sell them for what i paid but lost out on the extended warranty. They need to make the stems longer on the pros as this is the problem why they are falling out

Exact same problem...Especially when I'm talking or if I smile, then they just break their seal and sit precariously in my ear. I am constantly having to push them back in. Never had this issue with the original AirPods... Love the concept of the AirPods Pro and the sound quality, but very disappointed with the fit :-(

This is not true. I returned mine and exchanged for PowerBeats Pro. I even tried a few different pairs in store. I don't believe it is a hygiene thing. They can be cleaned off. Did you try to return at an Apple store? The only reason they might not accept them is that too much time has passed since they were purchased. Apple is very forgiving and I think if it is within 30 days of purchasing, they will refund or exchange.

I have the exact same issue, even just sitting and not moving they fall out. I’ve had previous AirPods and many other ones that are inner ear and NEVER experienced this issue. For a $8Bn market share can Apple not introduce other tips for people like us? I don’t even know what they fall out I think it may because there is no suction but they are driving me crazy I keep having to push them back in every 1min even now while typing this I have to push it back in. Really annoying!
