Airpods Pro keep falling out of my ears!

I just got Airpods Pro and they will not stay in my ears for more than a minute or so. I feel them start creeping and I know I have only a second or two before they seem to jump out of my ear as if they were being repelled or something. I have tried every size tip and they all do the same thing. I never had any problems with my old Airpods so this is strange to me. If I don't find a fix I'm going to have to return them as they are basically unusable. Anyone else have this problem? Any suggestions?

This is an excellent idea. Here’s what I just posted:

”250 dollars. That’s what I payed for these. You’re telling me that 250 dollars doesn’t get me earbuds that stay in my ears? That’s outrageous. If I move my mouth at all they get pushed out of my ears. Even if I don’t they make their way out anyway. This is what sets Apple apart from other brands. This doesn’t happen with Apple products. How did this slip through the testing?

My suggestion is that you redesign the tips with a different shape or as foam so they stay in your ears. Then offer that for free to everyone who bought airpods pro, and have it included with the standard version.

People expect a level of quality assurance from Apple and this is ruining that. Before this I could buy any Apple product and be sure it would work as expected. Not anymore.

i don't think the longer stem would fix that issue.

it's just the problem with the silicon tips getting slippery because of the sweat and oil in our ears..

with the AP2 the pods are just laying in the ear but with the pros the silicon tips is pressing against the ear canal to seal it.

But then get loose because of the oil and sweat.

Apple just needs to offer more tips for people who have this issue here.

e.g. selling memory foam tips.

I too had the exact problem you’re experiencing. First, I had the Apple AirPods with the rechargeable case. If I even looked at something, I swear they’d fall right out. To my excitement, Apple had a solution! The new AirPods Pro with adjustable ear fittings, they just had to be great! Or so I thought. I ended up having them fall out while doing things around the house, even on conference calls. Instead of buying some third party “wing” piece of plastic to add on to the $249 should be perfect earbuds, I decided to pass. There’s just something about having to purchase an additional piece to modify a product that really should be near perfect, especially with all the feedback Apple has experienced and continues to be flooded with requests for adapters, new product, and help in general. So, I purchased the Apple Powerbeats Pro (Beats by Dre). A few pros and cons, but these babies stay put. Although no noise cancellation, the on ear controls make them much easier to use as you no longer need to adjust the AirPods volume with your iPhone or iWatch. Also, although the charging case is larger for the Powerbeats Pro, they offer longer battery life overall and faster charging time, producing 1.5 hours of playback with just a 5 minute lightning charge versus the 1 hour playback for 5 minutes of rapid charge on both. Oh, and the best part? No more losing an expensive earbud at my local dog park. People, the Powerbeats are made by Apple. For everyone obsessed with having the iconic white stick draping elegantly from your ear, ask yourself. What’s more important? I’m sure you’ll make the right choice.

Sold my Bose SoundSport Free so that I could buy these and I am really regretting it. Can’t go a couple minutes in the gym without these wanting to fall out, wouldn’t even think of running with these as they will just fall out within the first couple of strides. They need to make different ear pieces that hold on to the outer ear. Sound is great and the tech is awesome but if only they would stay in.

I have found a solution (at least for me).

Basically silicon covers that cover the body of the Airpods Pro. I'm not sure if it's because of the size increase or the stickiness of the material but I can tell you that they stay in WAY better than before.

I did an hour long workout this morning and they never moved. In fact, I had to fight my habit of continuously pressing them back in my ears!

The cover on the case is a bit tighter now: doesn't snap shut anymore, you have to close it manually. But it does close. I actually prefer it because the snapping case always woke my wife up when I put them on early in the morning. No longer!

No guarantees they will work for you because I imagine it's at least partly dependent on the size of your ears, but they definitely helped me.

Not trying to be a jerk here. But to everyone who is upset with the cost and them not fitting. I get it. But they give you a 15 day return window. If it's so awful you can't use them. Get a refund. Mine right one falls out with workouts. But I love the sound and fits if I'm not up and moving I love them so I kept them.

return them 15 days should be enough time to find out that they aren't the right fit. It's like the Sony was earbuds they were 235 bucks I couldn't even get it in my ear. I returned them.

I agree with aw1799 although I get there may be circumstances where you weren’t ready to give up on them and tried to make them work past the return period, but to be brutally honest the only way Apple is going to make a change is if consumers no longer honor the product with their patronage. I’ve decided to keep my pair for travel but they will never see the gym again. Bottom line is the AirPod pros were not designed for exercise type activity. I have no desire to jack around with cheap foam alternatives. Word of mouth and social networks can be a strong influence. I have steered several sports minded potential buyers to evaluate other options and will continue to do so until Apple responds accordingly.

Airpods Pro keep falling out of my ears!
