Which version of Internet explorer should i download for Mac
Internet Explorer for Mac was first released in 1996, it was discontinued in 2005.
As indicated by BDAqua Microsoft have released a completely new web browser called Edge. Edge is totally different to Internet Explorer, Edge is based on Google's 'Chrome' engine. Since Google Chrome is available for Mac as well as Windows the Microsoft version is being made available for Mac as well as Windows. Currently it is still in beta-testing.
If you want to run 'real' Internet Explorer then the following are possible means to do this.
Note: If this is for the purpose of accessing a specific website which only supports Internet Explorer you should burn the relevant web developer at the stake. If it is an internal corporate website you should also burn your CIO and CEO at the stake.
Even Microsoft are discontinuing Internet Explorer for Windows which is why they are developing Edge as its replacement.

Here's how it displays msn.com
It is so far out of date that it has no idea how to handle Ajax, CSS, HTML5, or anything else developed as web standards since its last update.
There is no compatible version for recent Macs.
that's old stuff, from OS 9.
