Apple TV app stuck on downloads screen

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. From what I understand, the Apple TV app is not move away from the Downloads screen. I'll do what I can to help.

Proceed with removing the app again, but before installing it again, restart the iPhone: Restart your iPhone

This might also be related to the connection with the iTunes Store. Try all these steps as well: If you can't connect to the App Store, iTunes Store, or Apple Books

This is how I got mine to work....

Go to Settings  > Cellular (right under bluetooth), scroll down to Apple TV then toggle Cellular Data on...

If a setting is off, iPhone uses only Wi-Fi for that service.

I realized my device was on airplane mode- wifi and data were not connected- resulting in being stuck on the download screen. Back to normal as soon as I turned airplane mode off and connected back to wifi/data.

It only happens when you are connect to 3G, 4G mobile etc or in flight mode. If you switch to wifi the problem goes away (if you can connect to a wifi network). Possibly a glitch although perhaps there is some way to fix this in settings.

I went to cellular data and Apple TV was off. I turned it back on and now it is working

fixed: make sure cellular is turned on for Apple TV

Two suggestions by the following 2 persons below fixed the stuck "Download" message...

(Note also, the Apple TV on/off button is in 2 places on the iPhone, two lists:

Settings/Cellular

Settings/(scroll down to list on Settings opening page)

1. I know how to fix this. If your on an iPad, you can turn off WiFi and Bluetooth then turn them back on and it will restart and take you out of the library to the main store.

1. fixed: make sure cellular is turned on for Apple TV

...to fix on iPhone. Go to Settings, Mobile, scroll to mobile data and the Apple TV app and toggle button to activate for mobile data. Should work fine.

When WiFi is switched off it sticks on download. Switch WiFi on and load app. Tnx leetlepenguin

There are two places you have to turn on cellular data. One is in the app settings the second one is in cellular data. It needs to be done in that order. Should resolve the issue.

I have the same problem. The Apple TV+ is stuck on "Downloaded" screen. I have tried delete and re-installing Apple TV+ but still have the same problem.

I also followed the same instruction from suggested Apple Support team. "Proceed with removing the app again, but before installing it again, restart the iPhone: Restart your iPhone".

Same issue. Please help!

Can't get from download screen on Apple TV. I've removed the app twice restarted my phone after removing 2nd time. Reloaded the app and it still opens on the download screen. What is my next option? While My free subscription days are dwindling down.

Has anyone figured this out? I have this issue and have tried all solutions suggested and still in the same situation.
