Notification won't go

After upgrading to Catalina, slack notifications stay until I click them. Previously only backup notification would not leave the screen until I click it. When you have a few dozens of notifications it's very frustrating because you need to click them one by one. You cannot even close them all at once. Even when I restart slack, **** notifications stay on the screen. Not that I want to turn them off, but I want them go to away after a second or two. How can I make sure ALL notifications go away after a few seconds?

Go to System Preferences > Notifications. If you can, change the Slack notifications from Alerts to Banners. If you can't change them or they are not listed, you will have to contact the Slack developers.

I see, I did not read the small print. Thank you.

You're welcome

But how can I address backup notifications? Sometimes they appear on the screen when I am watching movie while cycling on my trainer and I cannot dismiss it.

I use Time Machine for backups and I get no notifications nor do I see anywhere to turn them on or off.
