iOS 13.2.3 battery drain

Yesterday upgraded iPhone SE to iOS 13.2.3 - today battery is useless. From 90% to 3% in the morning lost in 2 hours while it was not used at all. Later charged it to 77% and lost in 50 minutes 40% of charge. At least it charges back faster than before but it doesn't help. Can't leave home/office without power bank today. Just yesterday I could charge it full in the morning and it was ~15% left when came home 12 hours later.

The battery drain has gone from bad to worse on my iPhone 6S ever since iOS 13.1.2 was introduced. With iOS 13.2.3 the battery has drained from 100% to 1% in 2 hours without the phone being used at all. If I turn off the phone when the battery is at 100% and then turn it back on, the phone will flash the low battery warning and then go dead. Once I plug it into an electrical outlet, the phone will show that it is charged 100%. The same thing happens if I reboot by pressing the home and power buttons simultaneously. These iOS updates are destroying the battery. It was at 96% capacity when the problems started. In one day it dropped to 95% and then a couple hours later to 94%. I have gone to the Apple store and called telephone support. The employees act like I am the only one with battery issues. The employee at the Apple store told me to recalibrate the battery by letting it discharge completely before recharging. If that didn’t work, then restore the phone. If that didn’t work, then buy a new battery. If that didn’t work, then buy a new phone. Seriously? Is this the advice Apple is training its employees to give?

I am with 1-year old SE. My phone has been useless since I've updated the iOS to 13.2.3. Draining is like 50% for 2 hours with 2 minutes screen time and two conversations, each for a minute. It's a disaster... I've only heard before that for issues with battery draining because of bad software, but have never seen it with my eyes in such proportions. But I guess nobody would read this anyway...

I’m experiencing the same battery drain. iPhone 6S. Battery condition is 98%. No indication from the battery statistics screen that any particular app is the culprit, and Apple support ran a diagnostic and said everything seemed normal. Apple, fix this or let me revert to iOS 12. I’ve exclusively used iPhones since the first one debuted, so I’ve used every iteration of iOS. I’ve never had this problem.

Same issue with my iphone 6s (battery was replaced in the recall season over a year ago, so should still be somewhat fresh (showing 84% Maximum Capacity in battery health check). My daughter's iphone 8s has same issue--super quick battery drain, even when not being used. Have checked apps running in background--nothing to warrant the quick battery drain. It's an OS 13 issue, imo. Where's the fix, Apple?

I have 6s plus and having the same battery problem with 13.2.3. I'm a retiree. I saved enough money and plan to buy the new iPhone during this Black Friday 2019. Now I'm really, really, really scare of Apple iPhone. This event really, really, really ruins my plan (after all of those years of saving money for Apple product). Since I only have 1 cell phone, I have to plug it in all the time (for power) to receive any phone call or text. Nothing is wrong with my 6s plus phone or its battery. I only use it for text, call, some google search, map etc. Apple please, please release the fix asap. I don't want to buy a new, cheap phone - when waiting for your os 13.2.3 fix - so I can get out of the house for now. Sincerely, very, very sad old customer.

I have the exact same problem. Spent many hours in the Apple store and with Apple Support. They have all told me that they are not aware of any problems except some phones have shut down unexpectedly. My 6S is two years old and is virtually unusable after updating to 13.2.3 (rapid battery drain, then to goes to 100%, then drains again to 10% and then shuts down). They ran a diagnostic test and said it probably a problem with my "board." I could try replacing the battery for $50, but they didn't think it would help. I guess many people are having problems with their "board" after updating. A new phone was their answer. So disappointing.

Hi,

I’m having the same problem everyone is describing after three 13.2.3 update. However, I’m still have the problem and things have not gotten better. I have a 6s and it has been working great until the latest update. But now, I can charge my phone, not use it, and come back a little and it be below 50%. If I am trying to use it then it goes from 100% to critical within 30mins. Someone suggested not downloading the updates to help save battery life, but that’s hard to do. The update before 13.2.3 created all kinds of bugs for my phone, so of course I’m going to updated to fix them. And the updates never tell you this one is going to kill your battery life. I have gone through and applied many of tips Apple has suggested for battery life but it hasn’t helped at all. I wonder if they do this intentionally to push everyone to a newer model, I don’t want a bigger model. My phone is only 2 years old. Why are we forced to get a new phone after 2 years, are they struggling for money or can’t make a product that lasts longer than that. It’s extremely disappointing. There has to be something that Apple can do. It’s crazy that I can’t use my phone for 30mins-1hour without having to be plugged in to a charger.

I am frustrated out of Apple. My iPad Pro is loosing charge like crazy. One moment its at 100% charge and 5 mins later its at 80% or even 40%. Also the iPad shuts off at any battery percentage. It has done it when the battery is at 88% or 2%. After shutoff if I restart the iPad the battery jumps up 50%. I have factory reset a couple of time. Called tech support and they did remote diagnostics and said the battery health is fine. Took it to an apple store, they ran diagnostics and found battery health at 96% and also no issues with the hardware. They did not suggest a battery replacement or any other repair as nothing was broken as per them. They did a new installation of IOS as that was the only thing that could have caused the random battery leak. I did that and today a day later, same issue. It’s a waste of $ 1000+ on this iPad. If this continues, Apple you will loose customers slowly but surely. I am really skeptical about buying any more apple devices now.
