it say unavailable when i try to add email

i have a new iphone 11 and want to add my main email account , it says its unavailable or that i put in wrong info , i know i put in right info and i can't get it to be added

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. I understand you're unable to add your email account in the Mail app of your iPhone. I can help point you in the right direction.


To help isolate this behavior further, I recommend going to your email provider's website to ensure you're able to sign in without any issue. If you're able to log in successfully with the username and password, I suggest following the steps outlined in this helpful article: If you can’t send or receive emails on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch Specifically the section that says, "Check your Mail Settings" and "If you still need help."
