Almost every time when i shutdown my macbook pro, there is a glitch (like a rainbow) just before it turns completely off.

Already done with no effect:

SMC reset

NVRAM / PRAM reset

Create a new user

Turn off True Tone on display setting

Turn off Brightness adjustment on display settings

It run Catalina 10.15.1

MacBook Pro 13”, macOS 10.15

Hey there tasosthe,

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. I understand you have some concerns about the colors that display on your screen while shutting down your Mac. I’ll be happy to help.

You’ve already done some great troubleshooting so far. I would run an Apple Diagnostics on your Mac and see if it returns with any known issues:

How to use Apple Diagnostics on your Mac

If no issues are found, run First Aid on your Mac:

Repair a storage device in Disk Utility on Mac

Also, boot into safe mode and a new user account to test this out. Safe mode shows some flickering on your display so no need to be concerned about it:

Use safe mode to isolate issues with your Mac

If this doesn’t have any impact on the issue, you can reinstall macOS using the steps from the following link. While this should retain your user settings and files, it’s always a good idea to make a backup before doing this:

Reinstall macOS

Let me know if this helps.
