On my wife’s iPhone my daughter’s email
has access to her Facebook and Messenger so from my daughters iPad under her Apple ID she can post messages from my wife’s account. You can see my daughters email in my wife’s phone settings but it shows as not being able to delete it but sign posts you to Facebook or iMessage to resolve but there is nothing there either. Any ideas anyone? Need to detach my daughters email from my wife’s messenger?!? Thank you
Messenger is not an Apple product. Contact the app developer here --> App Support
The phone did not 'set up' Facebook at all.
Perhaps your daughter signed into the Facebook app while using her phone and never signed out of it.
Contact Facebook for support of their app. That's not an apple product.
thank you! I have now raised with Messenger. But when my wife migrated her profile to her new iPhone it set up the Facebook app with my daughters account when the phone was registered to my wife’s Apple ID. That can’t be right from a GDPR angle surely
Thank you! But the Facebook app was on my wife’s Facebook on her old phone, she upgrades to a new phone and it picks up my daughters Facebook. In settings it has my daughters email
and it won’t let you delete it. My daughter is then waving to everyone on my wife’s Facebook. It’s a nightmare!! Would you recommend going into an Apple store to see if they could help or would that be a waste of
time do you think? Any guidance welcome....
I don’t know what your problem is but Apple updating the phone breached reasonable data guidelines and enabled my daughter to access my wife’s Facebook and Messenger. The event was an Apple event it must be an Apple issue. No one has changed anything on FB or M the change is Apple....
No. It didn't. Your daughter's email address did not magically get set up in Facebook and messenger.
Stop trying to lay blame and concentrate on fixing the problem.
