Apple Notes Blank

I am having the same issue and it started when I moved from old 6s to newer XR so it’s not an 11 issue. It is very inconvenient when I need to get to my notes. No tips Apple?! Seems like a pretty crucial bug. PS: my phone IS up to date.

I had it happen to me twice again this weekend. The most frustrating part is that nobody from Apple has given a reply or acknowledged the problem, after months of notes. There are a lot of people having this problem. Guess they have too much business to worry about our problem. We can fix that.

I have the same issue as many others. It is very inconvenient to lose my notes until I restart my phone. This has been an issue about twice a week for the past two years. I am really tired of it. I need help to resolve this. Please help.

I’ve been trying to get this resolved for more than 9 months. The most infuriating part is that NO representative from Apple has even responded to say they are working on it for all of us. I’m getting to the end of my patience.

I have the same issue on my iPad and so does my wife. Those are random notes where we lose the text. We do not touch anything and it usually will come back, but not always after reboot.

Some notes are from a shared email so the note could be on both iphones and missing from one ipad.

it seems Apple has answered a first question, but nothing more.

if only one note from one account goes missing, this cannot be related to a sync problem. The rest of the account syncs.

On a iPhones 5 and X and on new iPads, its the same issue. I even could not read a note written minutes ago on my iPhone X.

i see the title, but the text is blank.

if Apple could acknowledge the problem, I would use something else to take down business or personal notes.

I see what you are saying there, but for me, I never switch from light to dark, so for me, this isn't the causative problem.

I am having the same problem, and it is very frustrating, since I rely extensively on my notes.

I’m having the same exact issue, and have had it for months. It is beyond frustrating to not be able to access any notes without getting out of the app and back into it. It would be faster to write everything down on paper! Seems like a simple fix on Apple’s part..i don’t understand the delay.

I have this same problem with the 2 phones that I have a 7 & a 10 my friends with another phone brand have no problems whatsoever. I am beginning to wonder if an Apple phone are worth the price and this may persuade me to go to another brand on my next upgrade that are coming soon.

Now it’s November and I have had this problem for months. So very annoying. Could someone write in simple terms bow to quit notes please for me to try that. I have tried switching on and off, swiped up and I get control centre and if I press on notes there it thinks I want to type a new note and I don’t I just want to see a particular note I have stored, some old notes are there and some aren’t. Thanks

I update my phone regularly and this issue happens to me all the time for years. Started with iPhone 7plus and just spent over $1k on iPhone 12 Max Pro with the exact same issue. C’mon Apple you’re well aware of this one. I use notes (or try to) daily.

APPLE please tell us how to correct this, it is so annoying when you need to read a note quickly. Does anyone from Apple support ever read on here or is it just users trying to solve problems instead of tech support?

This is pretty frustrating. I joined this chat many months ago. Since then I see that a lot of people have the same frustration with the Notes disappearing. But, the only comments that I see are from other users who are as annoyed as me.

Does anyone from Apple read these comments, and when will this problem be fixed????

Let’s hear from Apple, please! This issue MUST have a better answer than “shut down your phone and wait forever while it reboots - while you can’t take notes!”

This issue should’ve been dealt with a long time ago.

I must be quite impatient or maybe just narky but it seems to annoy me slightly, which builds with each new reply I read, when people say “me too”, then go on to repeat the exact same symptoms over and over as if they haven’t read the previous replies or even the original question. Would be more helpful if someone could just offer a solution or advice but not repeated same advice, which is another bug bear. I won’t mention those looking for Apple to be amongst the Community and reading these pages of repeats.

if anyone is wondering why I’m so grumpy, well it’s because I googled this bug hoping to find a solution and it’s now 02:17 am as it’s taken me this long to go through everyone’s replies, hoping fir a solution, only to find I’ve practically just read the same reply over and over again and haven’t got any further forward!!! Does this frustrate anyone else. It would be like contacting IT for a solution and them asking you 500 times “Have you switched your computer on?” 🤣😂🤣😂 Sorry folks but please..... tearing my hair out here!!!
