Daily reminders won't continue to remind if I don't clear them every day

This never used to be a problem. I have a daily reminder to take my medicine. It used to go off every day. When I got the 11 (or with the newest os, i'm not sure) all of a sudden my repeat reminders would stop reminding me. Only when I mark the reminder as completed for the day will it then remind me the next day. I need a reminder to remember to take my medicine, so obviously I am not remembering to clear the reminder when it does come up. Is there a way to fix this without clearing the reminder daily?

It sounds like your daily reminders will not remind you unless you mark the reminder as complete. This is expected behavior with the reminders since the system considers it not completed until it has been checked off.

Since you are needing a consistent daily alert for medications, I would like to suggest checking out the information in this link to Create and edit events in Calendar on iPhone. You can create a daily event on the calendar with an alert at the time you need to take the medications and set it to repeat daily.

Thanks again for the question and have a wonderful day!

Prior to IOS 13.3 reminders that I set up as repeat daily ALWAYS repeated daily even if I did absolutely nothing to the reminder notification when a notification appeared. The daily repeat was 100% reliable. Now, when set to repeat Daily it is 100% not repeating the event after the event has occurred for the first time.

Repeat Daily operation has changed with the latest IOS.
