Files app stopped opening PDFs

For some unexplained reason I can no longer open PDFs in the Files app on my iPad Pro. It worked fine until last night, and now when I attempt to open a PDF, all I get is a blank page with the file name, type and size. The same files open fine in Acrobat. I tried deleting and reinstalling the Files app, with no change.

Any thoughts?
