Paying for in App Charges

I love the way the Apple devices work with each other, but I'm not so much in love with the way Apple works as a company with its customers.

I had a problem with fraudulent charges when I had a credit card stored with Apple, so I deleted my credit card information from my Apple account. Tonight I'm trying to make an ~USD 12 app purchase (submitting valid credit card details), but Apple tells me I must first record my credit card details to them for record. One might understand that Apple has failed my security once, so I'm reluctant to let them store my credit card details again.

I will forgo any future app purchases from Apple until we can do this in a secure way.

BTW, I've personally bought 3 MacBooks, 5 iPhones and a time machine. I doubt you should doubt my commitment to Apple.

To all listening, Thailand where I live and love is LOS (land of smiles), but it's also the land of scams. But Iternet scams are not limited to Thailand. They can originate from anywhere.

The typical internet scam MO is that if they have your credit card information:

They will make a small charge (maybe USD 5-10, probably under your radar), just to confirm the credit card works.

Then they will make a somewhat larger charge (maybe USD 100) to see if you're paying attention.

Then they will strike.

Pay attention to your credit card bills.

And hold the people that store your credit card information accountable for their (and your) security..
