My Apple Watch won’t close Apple maps

My Apple Watch is still showing me apple maps. I tried to open the map and press firmly to end directions, but the app just bounces and won’t show me any such screen to end. Help this annoying. Can’t even get my mail messages now

Reset your Watch by pressing in the crown and side button until you see the Apple logo, then release both.
