Can't change AirPods' settings

I cannot change the AirPods' settings on Settings > Bluetooth > Device > (i). All it shows is "Forget the device" or "Disconnect".

I already updated my iPhone this afternoon, I also reset the AirPods the way the Apple site says I should. Also, when I try to check the firmware version, "AirPods" doesn't show up in the General > About menu. Case is fully charged. What should I do? When connecting to my Mac, the name changes automatically (yet doesn't let me rename them, but I can choose what to do with the double tap) but once it connects to my iPhone it goes back to just "AirPods". I have an iPhone XS.
