Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT

Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question.

Permissions not being repaired.

Permissions differ on “System/Library/CoreServices/CoreTypes.bundle/Contents/Resources/XProtect.plist”; should be -rw-r--r-- ; they are lrw-r--r-- .

The next line says they are repaired. There another line:

Permissions differ on “System/Library/CoreServices/CoreTypes.bundle/Contents/Resources/XProtect.meta.plist”; should be -rw-r--r-- ; they are lrw-r--r-- .

Disk utility reports both are repaired.

I immediately run Permissions repair and the same messages come up, every time.

What is this? I am thinking XProtect is something I don't want messed with?

Is this how Google patches the system so users cannot stop the constant running of their update software?

Any enlightening response appreciated.
