I just got a MBP 16" and was told that I would have no problem running Adobe CS6 on it; however, apparently, it won't run! Anyone got a work around? I got this new mac because it techs told me I could run it.

unfortunately, my 7 year old MBP conked out on me so returning it isn't an option...disappointed. I hate subscription apps that milk you for years and years for basic needs.

Also note that there is a 14 day return policy (or until January 8 if you purchased within the holiday return period) on your MBP if you purchased it directly from Apple. See: Returns & Refunds - Shopping Help - Apple
If you purchased from an Authorized Reseller, check with them for their return policy.
