Malware

I believe I have accidentally downloaded MacEnizer malware onto my computer and it’s behaving strangely. Like when I open Google Chrome there is a page there looks similar to its homepage but it just says Search. I’m afraid that my files and information are very compromised and I don’t know what to do. I’ve already tried dragging and dropping into the trash and it still seems to be a problem. Please Help!
