iMovie: customize cover frame

Hi - when I save a movie, it chooses a random frame as the cover image. Is it possible to customize this? I can't even seem to search the issue. Thank you!

Unfortunately, there is no function for customizing the cover image. iMovie uses a frame in the center of the movie as the cover thumbnail. You can change the center point of the movie by adding a black background of suitable duration at the beginning and/or end of the movie. Or you can rearrange some clips to get a more desirable frame at the center. Not the greatest, but it can work.
