I can not use iMessages in my MacBook

I can not use iMessages in my MacBook , please support ,as it gives me an error occurs .

Please advise.

are you using your Gmail password or your Apple password?

it doesn't have to do with the password. I'm using the same password to sign in to iCloud and it's working fine however when I want to sign in to iMessages from Mac it's giving "Authorization failure"

What might be the issue?
