Airpods on 6.8.8

1 -Apple updated my AirPods without my consent to 6.8.8

2- Ever since the update I am having issues with Battery, Call disconnection, Hissing sound

3- Apple is doing this on purpose to force people into buying newer AirPods!


What a SHAME!

Thanks for asking the Apple Support Communities for help with your AirPods. AirPods are updated with the paired iPhone. Since you are having a problem with your AirPods, I recommend the following troubleshooting:


1. Start by resetting your AirPods, which states: Reset your AirPods - Apple Support


"You might need to reset your AirPods if you can't connect to them, if they won't charge, or to fix a different issue."


2. Next, go through this troubleshooting article about charging: If your AirPods won’t charge - Apple Support


3. You also mention your calls are disconnecting, please check if there is a carrier settings update: Update your carrier settings on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support


4. The connection can also be disturbed by interference. Please check this article, and if the issue is occurring in different areas: Resolve Wi-Fi and Bluetooth issues caused by wireless interference - Apple Support


5. This article also has some troubleshooting to go though: If the sound from your wireless headphones cuts out or is distorted - Apple Support
