I have macbook pro and I have serious problem with Photos. When I try to move photos to desktop or external drive, they change to smaller size. Suddenly 5 MB photo is 800 KB. Can't drag them or copy them. How can I fix this?

What you're getting is the lower resolution preview version that Photos creates upon import.
You need to export them via the File ➙ Export ➙ Export Unmodified Original for XXX Photos menu option:
Set the JPEG Quality level to whatever is best for you:
I found that the High setting gave about the same file size as the original and the Max setting was larger.
Remember when you edit and save to the outside there's going to be additional JPEG compression to the file.
Ok, I found out myself that you cannot drag or copy photos, you need to use export. But how do I move those photos that I have modified in Pixelmator? Export only works with originals?
Yeah, that works with unmodified photos. But when I try to move a modified photo, that is 7,9 MB in Photos, it changes to 1,8 MB when moved to desktop. How do I move these?
