Airport Extreme dropping connection

Issue with client's Airport Extreme (one month old) needing to be rebooted 4-5 times daily. Clients lose internet connectivity - both wired and wireless - green light on router. Static IP assigned to router and manually entered. Installed in small office - less than 10 users - all Macintosh. Port forwarding on three ports for Daylite CRM. Firmware at 7.5.1, No guest network enabled.
Troubleshooting included:
Switched ISP from ADSL to Cable (completely different technology and modems)
Switched router out and replaced with identical router - reconfigured manually
Turned on interference robustness
Changed both wireless channels
Changed out power supply and put both modem and router on UPS

I got exactly the same. It took some time to trace back all my steps and in the end it only could have been disconnecting a laser printer (ethernet cable) and me activating screen sharing as I was curious what that was about...wrong.

Have you solved it already

I tried all sorts of possible things but those're related to web browser tactics and resulted in nothing. Have some messages about this in an other thread.

I have the same loss of PPPoE connection to the modem; and having read around; it seems to be a widespread problem since 2008. Most people circumvent the problem by having the Airport Extreme act as a bridge; the routing being done by the modem.

However this isn't very elegant; and I would rather have the routing done by the AE.
Besides my modem doesn't provide routing at all.

It would be very much time that Apple provided a fix for this; as we are speaking of a fundamental feature of the product. It worked with early versions of the firmware apparently.

I am shocked by how unacceptable this is.
The product is a router and it actually can't work as a router. Only as a bridge.
It will only route regular ethernet; basically meaning double NAT, not a solution.

A type 2 problem for me. Just started about a month ago.

Today replaced my 3 year old AEBS with a new one ... still having dropped connections. Rebooting corrects it, also will reconnect after a while if I do nothing.

UGH.

Throw mine in on the pile. Been using the same AEBS for over two years with no problems. Suddenly this week, several computers on the network lose their connection periodically (wired and wireless). Any computer that remains on, like my primary video editing mac pro, keeps its connection. But anything that sleeps or is shut down completely will not be able to get an IP address upon waking. Like others, the only solution is to reboot the AEBS. I'd buy a new AEBS if I wasn't afraid of the same thing happening again.

I bought a new AEBS and switched from WPA2 to WPA/WPA2 and the problem seemed resolved .... until tonight.

I wanted to pass along that I had an Extreme 802.11n 5G network extended by an Airport Express, and the network would gradually slow to the point where pages would not load until I rebooted both the AEBS and the cable modem. After trying everything else (and with the help of a great blog) I figured out that perhaps the fact that I was extending a network that didn't need to be extended (the Express was too close to the AEBS) was causing some sort of conflict. And indeed, changing the Express from "Extend a Network" to "Join a Network" has completely eliminated the issue for four days now.

Add me to the list. I have a MacBook Pro late 2008 and the Extreme Base Station 5GHz n, can't recall when did it began, but I have the same symptoms.

Connection is ok for the first minute, then it doesn't work. After some minutes, it works again, but it drops.

I have no problem with a wired PC, the problem is with the wireless.

add me aswell. in the beginning the trouble of AEBS loosing the pppoe connection just happend every couple days. without a reboot the AEBS was dropping the pppoe connection like every ~2 min.
yesterday neither a reboot nor a complete hard reset with reconfiguration had helped. the AEBS won't handle the pppoe connection well.
at the moment i helped my self with setting up the AEBS in bridge mode and let the provider based modem/router combo handle all the pppoe, dhcp, portforwarding and so on. no connection problems at all. but i'm not happy with this situation. now i've to administer two devices instead of one.
the provided hardware from my telco (alice) is a relabled fritzbox 7570 with the option to enable pppoe passthrough to act like a modem. i'm in germany and on a fttb connection with 100 mbit/s down and 15 mbit/s up.

I'm having the same issue with two Airport/Timecapsule devices on two different networks each serviced by different Broadband providers. However, connectivity degrades to the point of no connectivity between 6:30PM - 12:00 Midnight EST U.S. The Airports are one generation apart. the latest Airport is a dual-band.

I have owned my AEBS for almost a year. It has worked flawless until about a week ago. We moved and I set everything up the exact same way we had it in our old house, but the AEBS drops the Internet connection from time to time. My whole network (wired and wireless) loses Internet connection, but I can still communicate between local machines. I factory restored the thing, but it still happens. Also, the light on the AEBS remains green during all this. My logs look similar to those posted here.

Why has this happened to everyone recently? THAT seems bizarre to me.

Please help! My wife isn't going to allow me to buy Apple products anymore!

Edit: I have ruled out ISP issues since my connection is always up when connected directly.

Just set up my AEBS via PPPoE to work with my new BT Infinity connection and now it just randomly drops out every 30 minutes or so. Seems to be when the network is particularly busy.

This is really unacceptable and needs to be fixed immediately.

Yesterday was particularly bad. Today I replaced my 7 year old cable modem (Cisco DPC3010) and it seems to have resolved my problem with dropped connections. And I can't believe how speedy my internet is now.

I'll report back after a couple of days.
