I will update the post as it develops.
I used APP1 with no issues but after wearing the APP2 with the extra small tips, my right ear is now itchy, crusty and it's driving me crazy. Stopping using the APP2 for a week or two helps and things start to get better but wearing them again, even for an hour or two it starts to come back right away. Just my right ear though which is weird.
No.
If it's within 14 days, you can return it.
Best you consult/see a doctor.
Hello,
You might try periodic on-line searches. I would think that third-parties would begin to offer more sizes and use alternative materials.
Good luck.
I have the same issue, itchy ear and then drainage. Went to my doctor and had to put ear drops in my ear for 10 days. Love the AirPod Pros but Apple we have a problem.
I’m pretty sure it’s something in the silicone tips on the pros, not the plastic. I wore the original AirPods daily for years with no issues, but the pros caused a gross itchy mess.
Its contact dermatitis to the body of the airpod LJ
Hi OzzyWon1,
Can you post the link to the tips you purchased here? Thanks!
After more consideration, I too continue to believe it is a chemical in the Silicon causing the irritation. Sound waves are not the culprit.
You might want to bring a printout of these posts or show them on your phone. It really helped me convince my Dr. of the cause.
I purchased my AirPod pros a few months ago and I’m severely allergic to the tips. It’s awful.
Gotta be persistent!
Katie at Apple has helped me- promised a full refund despite my purchase on Amazon on 6/12- and reimbursing for my doc appts too.
I get a circular, semi-clear scab along my ear Where the AirPod pro’s put the most pressure. It’s like it’s melting my ear
I've now moved to Jabra 65t.. were the frequency can be adjusted.. I've no itchy and drainage issues. Now just waiting from my case withApple to have this issue resolved.
I did a few rounds of antibiotics and stopped using the APP. That’s the only things that helped mine clear up.
I stopped using. Automatically get drainage in both ears
goes away when I don’t use them
