Also, try unplugging the HDMI lead from the back of Apple TV and your TV then plug it back in. The copyright detection system could be engaging if the HDMI lead is not fully plugged in.

My apologies, you posted this in the Apple TV Hardware community rather than the Apple TV app. Are you viewing tv.apple.com on a non Apple device? If so then there has been many reports that this is not working.

What kind of Macintosh are you using? Do you have an external display connected to your Mac?

That is strange that it worked in Chrome and not Safari. Whatever the case, I am happy to hear all is working as expected for you!
