Can't install Java SE 6 bc "a newer version is already installed"

I need the macOS 2017-001 version of Java to run a program called Logisim on mac. The problem is that I had this version downloaded to my laptop before and it was working good and then, for some reason, I decided to get a newer version of java to see if it improve the quality of the program, but it just ended up with me not being able to run the program because I need the macOS 2017-001 version. This is the error I receive when I try to download it:

And I've tried going to system preferences to see if I can delete Java but it is not there. I even looked up different ways to delete Java; going into terminal and putting in commands to delete it from preference pane and doing the recommended manual way to delete java. Also, I looked up Java in my folder and nothing came up.

Please help.
