Bad sound quality during calls

Hi, I' recently experience bad sound quality during calls. The problem seems to occur when calling from one Iphone to another. The sound is distorted and loud and can't pick up what the other person is saying. It's not a volume issue, it's loud enough, but a quality-issue. If I switch to Facebook Messenger-call, the sound is excellent. This is also the case when I receive calls from a landline.

I've followed a lot of trouble-shooters, also from Apple, by turning off Wifi-Calling, 4G, VoLTE Off and turned Phone Noise Cancellation Off, but nothing seems to take. I also did a factory reset. I really don't think it's a microphone/speaker issue, as other audio works fine.

Any suggestions? The Iphone X is excellent, and I don't want to replace it.

If you have distorted Sound issue on your iPhone --> If you hear no sound or distorted sound from your iPhone, iPad

If you are not able to hear the other person, click this...>If you can't hear a person on a call or voicemail or if the sound isn't ...

If the other person is not able to listen to you then please click this--> If the microphones on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch aren't ...

If the above options do not mitigate the issues then Contact your carrier and then Contact Apple Support

I'm sorry, but this wasn't helpful at all, nor was the links that I've already visited. As I stated in the description, quite detailed, I've covered these steps. My carrier directs me to Apple, so I guess support is the next step.

I was curios if anyone else recognized the specific issues and help me along the way.
