Scam text

Hello there.

I received a message from “HMRC” and only realised after clicking on the link that it was a scam...

what do I need to do now?

I clicked on the link twice but the page didn’t open, does that mean that I still got a malware o not?

I didn’t provide any of my details

Opened suspicious text message from HMRC Hi guys Today I got a suspicious message from a random number claiming to be HMRC. They were talking about a tax rebuttal and provided me with a link. I sent the message to HMRC and they said that they’ll investigate and confirm if the message was genuine. I also cleared me history and cookies data. However I am still worried that my personal information may have been put at risk and I’m not sure how reliable the mcafee app is. What do you guys think about this situation?

Scam? On my minl I received a message which has block my mini Mac with a state that I had been infected with spyware. It gave a message to call 1-845-267.-****- Apple Helpline. Is this a scam? [Personal Information Edited by Moderator]

phishing scam I got a suspicious text saying I had a package missing from February and without thinking clicked on it. Within 2 seconds I realized I shouldn't have clicked on it, closed the window and deleted the text. Is it possible that malware was installed?

If you didn't provide any information, you should be okay. If the link did't open, it is unlikely any adware/malware was downloaded.
