Unable to download security update 2019-001 10.14.6 on macOS Mojave version 10.14.6 !!!

My MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Early 2015) was unable to download security update 2019-001 10.14.6 on macOS Mojave. The downloading new updates stays at 335.7 MB of 1.55 GB for a period of time then cuts off with a message, "the request timed out; an error occurred while installing the selected updates". May I have advice from Apple please?

You can only get advice from Apple if you contact Apple. Apple is not here, just users like yourself.

If you are using WiFi then use a cabled connection to your router instead.

Or download the standalone update from here, https://support.apple.com/kb/DL2024?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US

once downloaded double-click to install.

If still no success then try installing whilst in Safe Mode, Use safe mode to isolate issues with your Mac – Apple Support
