Magic keyboard for macbook air mid 2013?

I use an external display with my macbook and need a separate keyboard from the macbook air's. Magic keyboard only lists compatibility with 2015 onwards mac air. Will it not work for mid 2013 model? I have i7 1.7Ghz with graphics card. Not sure why the incompatibility.

Wired keyboard compatibility I have a iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2020) and need to buy a wired keyboard as the magic keyboard and mouse I have interferes with my Graphics Wacom tablet. Will an apple Wired keyboard A1243 work/ be compatible? Thanks if anyone knows x

i purchased an anker Bluetooth keyboard recently that works perfect with my MBA 2010 running mountain lion to High Sierra.
