My MacBook Pro started flickering all of a sudden, and I cannot see anything on the screen except this flicker. I even re-booted, and it still is stuck. Any ideas? Or do I need to take it to a repair shop.

Try booting into Safe Mode. Since Safe Mode uses a very basic video driver you may still see some screen flicker/flashing, but perhaps it will be a bit different from what is seen with a normal boot.
Try running the Apple Diagnostics.
Try an Option Boot and let the laptop sit at the Apple boot picker menu. If you see the screen flicker here or with the Apple Diagnostics, then you have some sort of hardware issue.
What is the exact model of your laptop? You can get this information by clicking on the Apple menu and selecting "About this Mac". What version of macOS?

From your description my guess is the Display is failing and will need to be replaced. It may be best to take the laptop to an Apple Store or an Apple Authorized Service Provider to be examined.
This is a MacBook Pro with Catalina on it. I am not sure about the model, probably only 3 years old, as the dang screen keeps moving everything on it up & down & I cannot click on anything much as everything is moving up and down. How can I get it into safe mode? give me directions, maybe I can get to the right screen. I can barely log in as the window for logging in keeps flickering up & down!
Yea, I can't get to safe mode. I'm taking it to a repair center. Thanks anyway. :(
